Prospect Engagement Consultant

  • Pinellas Park, FL
  • Full-time
  • On-site

About the role

This is a ground-floor opportunity to join an amazing, growing company in the exciting, high-growth world of IT marketing. Our culture promotes one-on-one coaching as well as structured team development. The ideal candidate is ambitious, self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized, friendly and customer-focused, with high energy, a willingness to learn, and creativity.

As a Prospect Engagement Consultant, you'll prospect with potential clients who might be interested in our clients' products or services. An outstanding PEC demonstrates a thorough understanding of the lead generation process — including how to uncover a prospect's interest in meeting with our clients' sales teams.

What you'll do

  • Effectively manage a prospecting territory and exceed a daily blend average of 260
  • Regularly exceed the performance metrics and goals set by management
  • Maintain and build relationships with new and existing prospects, qualifying them to generate appointments and build a strong network
  • Build a natural funnel using company-provided tools
  • Identify availability on an e-calendar and schedule meetings for the client's sales team
  • Multitask comfortably across different systems
  • Maintain detailed documentation of sales and calling activity in our CRM
  • Communicate effectively by phone and email
  • Other duties as assigned

What you bring

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent — a college degree, or currently pursuing one, preferred
  • Experience in customer service, B2B/B2C sales, retail, hospitality or a related field
  • A track record of high achievement
  • Solid verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills — and, oh, amazing grammar
  • Comfort with computer applications (Windows/macOS, Microsoft Office 365, web browsing, research)

Growing from here

There's a defined path from Level 3 to Level 4, based on consistently hitting the KPI metrics for your level over a sustained period. You'll get one-on-one coaching and structured team development along the way.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in B2B lead generation or appointment setting
  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator or equivalent
  • Integrity, energy, a competitive spirit, financial motivation and strong time management skills

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, vision and life insurance
  • Paid time off
  • 401(k) plan with company matching opportunities
  • Career development and growth opportunities based on performance
  • Daily, weekly and monthly spiffs
